Veracity’s Operations Research Capability Leads Directly to Reduced Costs
Under the leadership of Rebecca Kirk, Veracity Vice President, our work for OPNAV’s Fleet Readiness Division (N43) showcases our ability to deliver effective Operations Research support. In the Aviation Sustainment Cost Reduction project, for example, Veracity evaluates enterprise-wide Aviation processes and provides goal-oriented cost control recommendations that best maintain readiness.
We do this by first documenting the “as-is” management and execution processes for repairable components at both the intermediate and depot repair levels, their supporting supply functions, and the management elements that direct these processes.
Then, using Business Process Reengineering and other analysis tools, Veracity proposes analytically based ways to contain or reduce costs while maintaining readiness. For example, Veracity’s research and analysis was instrumental in developing a combined tool that makes identifying and correcting data errors and capability errors far easier. The Fleet’s adoption of this tool and other related process improvements is expected to reduce costs by hundreds of millions of dollars over the next 3 years.
